Haiku: Anti-Emo Style

A brief poem by Theo, Lizzie, George, Shivian, and Frank.

your poem is shitty
haiku hates your emo poem

This happened because we were sitting around the other night, goofing off after a yummy stew made by George. Somehow we started talking about emo people, and then all of a sudden Elizabeth says ‘Haiku Hates your Emo Poem’

Of course, I said, ‘Wait, that’s not a haiku!” and then, after a discussion in which we determined that a Haiku is 5-7-5, and a few minutes of laughing, we have the anti-emo haiku you see above.

The Wizard of Oz and Wicked

Every gay boy knows that there is no one more fabulous than Dorothy and Glinda, but it’s Elphaba who captures our hearts.

This is my blog…

So I’ve been thinking about blogging for a little while. I have felt a growing need just to start putting some of my thoughts out there. I’m not sure why. The muse strikes his own song, and I feel the chords building within me. Where do I go with that? I’d like to use this blog as a place to put some of my insights into the world, some of my thoughts about what goes on, and some of my personal feelings.
