The sky is still cloudy. I’m hoping for some more rain and lightning, but I’m not counting on it. George and I made a small jar of divination incense tonight. It’s got a Damiana base and includes Blue Vervain, Angelica, Deer’s Tongue, Mugwort (Tincture), and snake skin. We didn’t have any honey or molasses so we bound it with jojoba oil. We burned a little before doing some divination (we were both planning on doing some divining already) and it packs a punch. Once it got in the air a bit it sent me right into trance. Was very impressive.

I’m feeling kind of mellow and relaxed now. My eyes are a little tired, and I should probably go to bed before much longer, but I’m not sure I’m really tired, and there are a few things I want to do first.

I’m looking forward to karate tomorrow. I’m a bit stiff today, but it’s a good soreness. My gi is hanging in the bathroom to dry. I met @si_storm after work today to make our plans for Saturday. We finished putting together the workshop and made a general game plan. We’re team-teaching, which is always enjoyable (for me at least).

I’m also kind of excited about summer CampOUT, a trans/queer kinky leather-spirituality festival type event in West Virginia in July. I’m considering going. Sadly it overlaps with the Brotherhoods Apotheosis, but it does happen. So far the difficulty will be primarily transportation. If I end up going with a few other people that may be much easier to arrange.

Right now I’m listening to Loreena McKennits “An Ancient Muse” Album. I really like this album a lot. It’s not as fun to listen to as “Book of Secrets” or “Parallel Dreams,” but it’s really good background and working music. It’s not intrusive. Even the lyrics just sort of flow. I’m going to do a few other things, including writing a post for Messages from Somewhere Else, and then I’m going to get some sleep.
