Driven, Motivated, Inspired… something

I feel Driven lately. That isn’t really the right word. Driven has an implication of some external force that isn’t truly present here, but Motivated doesn’t seem to carry enough weight. Perhaps Inspired is the right word. Whatever it is, I have been it of late. I’ve written more in the last week than in the last couple months. I’ve turned into a Twitter-user with a fairly high Follow Cost (Right now I’m nuclear), and I’m beginning to be part of a wider network of people than I expected.

Added to this I have some pretty aggressive plans for a few things this year. Once my current studies in Ceremonial Magic are over (less than a month) and a few other things sort themselves out I’m going to be focusing on my career and financial stability for a while. (If you’re interested, ask.) I have several hush-hush projects that I’m working on, and the potential for a few different game-changing things that could happen this year.

I’m also considering starting a pagan advice column. I got the idea last night while I was writing the “Can other people see your servitors?” post. I have always kind of been fond of advice columns and I think I’d be fairly good at writing one. Herbis Orbis has expressed some interest in helping me out there, and several other people have expressed a lot of excitement at the idea. I get the feeling that it’s going to happen, but I’m going to take some time to formulate some plans and start moving some pieces into place for it.

On a related note, if you have a clever idea for a theme/name/pseudonym for a pagan/magical/occult/new-age advice column(ist) send me an email or let me know in the comments. I may come up with some sort of special reward if you suggest a name I use.

Work is kind of absurdly busy right now, and in honesty I’m a little concerned that I’m not giving it the attention it deserves. I’m going to meditate and put some thought into how I can balance that situation over the weekend and see if I can’t address it next week. I can’t really talk about what’s going on because a lot of it is internal changes that haven’t been made public yet, but if I play this right it may open a lot of doors for my career in the coming months and years.
